Full Moon in Gemini
December 10, Saturday Evening, 8-10pm
The full moon is a time for men and women to dance in celebration and gratitude. Please join us in ceremony from 8-9pm and joyous dancing from 9-10pm.
This year, the Sun makes a grand gesture before leaving Sagittarius and entering Capricorn. The Gemini-Moon waxes to an Eclipsed-Full Moon. This is the first of the Gemini/Sagittarius set of eclipses that will last until 2013. The Sun also enters Capricorn.
Full moons signify the completion, culmination of what may have been initiated during the previous New Moon in Sagittarius which encouraged us to get past seeing where we might have failed or have been disappointed, but instead use what we now know and understand to make plans for the upcoming year. This is the last full moon of 2011, and it is also a lunar eclipse!
Some information on Eclipses:
Eclipses, in astrology, are accelerators. They speed up events, issues, situations in our personal lives and demand for them to be dealt with.
Eclipses trigger necessary changes to one’s journey in life. Because these changes are triggered outside of one’s own volition, they are often harsh, sudden and undeniable. The initial shock evoke sadness, confusion, frustration, anger, worry and, possibly, depression. However, it is our reaction past the initial shock that defines how we will allow these eclipses to influence us.
